ORIGINAL PLAYS
As Assistant Artistic Director of Blue Demon Theatre's Annual Short & Sweet Play Festival, I've had the privilege of writing, directing, producing, and seeing my own 10-minute plays performed for an audience over the past two years. As a creative writer, playwriting will always be a passion of mine.
Both plays are linked and under 10 minutes if you give the pictures a click. I'll admit, you can hear me laughing throughout the entirety of both. I think I'm really funny.
The Best Cat
An average man comes to pick up an average woman for a date, but a not-so-average cat gets in the way. The man comes upon a rude awakening when he discovers that, unlike dog, cat is not man's best friend.
My inspiration came from my own cat, Steve. He is, just like the cat in the play, an asshole.
After Party
A group of awkward high schoolers have too much fun after a school dance, and as it usually goes in real life, a painfully odd first kiss situation ensues.
In the interest of full disclosure, this is essentially a copy-and-paste recreation of my own terrible first kiss. You should feel uncomfortable, that's the point.
